No Development Action without Professional Needs Analysis

We almost exclusively offer tailor-made development processes, workshops, trainings, etc. for our customers. We do not believe in standardized seminars..
We do not only want to know your goals as a company, and what you expect from seminars, but also consider the needs and requirements of the seminar participants. This also includes getting to know the company itself, the company and leadership culture, as well as the market environment. This means a greater investment for you than with a standardized seminar. It also means: A much higher return-on-training for you.
But we can only come up with a tailor-made solution for you, our client company, after we have gathered all this information. Otherwise, you might as well send your employees to open seminars outside your company.

  1. A comprehensive briefing with the client or the sponsor of the program.
  2. A one-hour individual interview with each of at least six persons from the target group: analysis of needs and requirements as well as expectations regarding the workshop/seminar..
  3. In the past, we have also conducted interviews with up to 60 persons from a target group. These interviews also serve further goals:
  • to motivate the participants for the training and to prepare them for it.
  • the trainer [trainers] gets to know the participants before the actual event and can then work with them more effectively on a one-on-one basis in the training or workshop.

  1. Every interviewee receives his/her personal interview transcript to check it and let us know if we have understood him/her.
  2. We create an anonymous interview summary for the client, and also use it as a basis from which to develop training goals and the training structure. The interviewees' statements are organized according to themes.
  3. A briefing with the client; confidentiality and anonymity guaranteed. We consider the interview results and work with the client to define the final learning objectives and modules, as well as the structure of the seminar or workshop, etc.
  4.  We use the interview summary to start the workshop/seminar (defreezing).
  5. From this we create a list of themes that helps us and the participants to directly relate, if possible, all modules of the seminar, workshop, etc. to the needs and requirements of the participants, as well as to the goals and needs of the client company.

As you can see, we take professional needs analysis seriously. A simple check-off list of seminar themes is completely insufficient for this.
